Even before its release, the film was embroiled in controversies. A petition was also filed for a stay on the film’s story. Vivek Agnihotri has prepared this film by making it in a very low budget. In which apart from Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, there are also many small actors. But the film has earned many times more than its cost. The film has earned 235.85 crores at the Indian box office within 25 days of its release.
